Target Audience . . .
Healthcare professionals from hospitals, health systems, clinics, medical groups and policy makers with an interest in understanding recent changes in the health care system and their impact on health care disparities.
Program Objectives . . .
- Build effective communication strategies between health care providers and patients that can empower patients and improve health outcomes.
- Define features of the new Medicare Prescription Drug Program, pay for performance, quality reporting and reimbursement programs that may impact the survival of practices serving greater numbers of racial and ethnic minority patients.
- Identify real time strategies for reducing health care disparities implemented by local health care providers and health care systems
We will sponsor a symposium addressing the healthcare literacy problem among minorities.
CME credits will be given.
